MERCEDES BENZ KEY PROGRAMMING & W204 EIS REPAIR:

Mayfair 24/7 locksmith has a solution for the blocked ESL Electric Steering Lock for the 2008 and newer Mercedes models. C-class W204, E-class coupe W207, E-class W212, SLK class 172 and GLK class 204. Every time you insert your key in the EIS Electronic Ignition Switch it must be recognized by the EIS and ESL. Subsequently the EIS must unlock the steering shaft and after that the ignition could be switched on and the car started. If the ESL does not unlock the steering shaft the ignition will not be switched on. After a few occurrences the ESL computer will set a code and the car will be disabled until the problem is taken care of. Mercedes dealer is charging an arm and a leg replacing the steering column in the process. One of the problems is that when the steering is locked the ESL cannot be removed in a regular way. We have the parts/skills/knowledge to repair/replace the ESL if no one else tried to repair it before us. All and any repairs made by people not having the required knowledge/skills for the job results in a completely blocked ESL. Of course we can help in this case too, but it takes more resource.
We always recommend to have the car diagnosed by a professional and/or dealer with a proper diagnostic equipment. Not all the time the problem is caused by the ESL. Of course you can send us the EIS/EZS,key and the ESL and we can do the proper diagnostic and repair it back to normal working condition. All you have to do is to remove the complete steering column with the ESL and send it to us. The price is negotiable which includes diagnosing the problem with the parts you sent us, removing of the ESL from the steering column without damaging any part, repair and test the ESL and shipping back to you. If your ESL is unrepairable, or the problem is somewhere else we will contact you and the price will be re-negotiated depending on the repairs that are required. If we don’t agree on the price all parts will be sent back to you in the condition received. Alternatively we will come out to assess the condition of the repairs at a call out fees depending on the distance
