I`m very familiar with QR`s J&F products and have managed to earn ~150k AirBerlin TopBonus points over the years, so I`m very interested in redeeming them for an Etihad J Class in their new “suites”. I need to find something I can book before September (book, not necessarily fly) as my TopBonus points expire in September and there is also a devaluation in the Partner Rewards Table on September 1st for flights booked after that date. Seems to have been looking in vain at the KVS availability tool all day today to find a good Etihad hide 🙁 I was lucky enough to be in most of the classes on the HK routes to Europe. An important factor is the Trasnit challenge. I find Dubai airport difficult to navigate and QR new quite easy. Ethihad Hub can feel a bit like Saturday in the souk. This is how flight connection times, etc. play a role.

The best seat depends on the aircraft you will be flying in. But frankly, the differences in many of the above cases are marginal. I just flew for Qatar`s business last month. For DOH-WAW, I took A320, while for FRA-DOH it was A330. Both are equipped with new business seats that resembled the seat of 787 or 350, although it is 2-2-2 out of 330, not inverted herringbone seats.
I flew yesterday with American Advantage miles from Ahmedabad to Abu Dhabi and from AUH to Chicago with Etihad. The business class seats had inverted herringbone seats from AUH to ORD, but AMD at AUH it was just a 45-degree lounge chair that, I would say, is not comfortable at all. The food was good and quite varied. The stewardesses were all pretty and came from different countries like India, Romania, Scotland, etc. I was given a night suite, slippers and toiletries back and forth. The lounge at AUH was excellent while at AMD it was nothing more than a restaurant on the street. They didn`t allow me to use the lounge in Chicaog and said Etihad wasn`t part of a world, just a codeshare partner, even though I was flying in the international segment for business and the domestic segment was first class on AA, which was another joke. @Nagarj the crews of wtf Emirates are rude Qatar is better more Emirates 2-3-2 in business it is a failure Qatar crew is better Emirates is inconsistent.
