90% of America`s civil justice needs are still unmet, but that`s not the case with our Beacon Law program. In addition to lawyers and paralegals, pro bono lawyers help Beacon Law meet the legal needs of Houston`s homeless. Attorneys admitted as practitioners in the state of Texas can assist with the collection of limited wills and estates (small affidavits and estate planning), including but not limited to resolving driver`s license holders, replacing immigration documents, and changing names (for the purpose of obtaining identification) by taking care of simple cases that can change a person`s life! We advocate for equal justice for the low-income homeless and address the conditions that overwhelm and marginalize them. Clarification of criminal records (excretions and confidentiality) Limited family law (uncontested pro-se divorce and change of child support) More than 400 people were able to clear their criminal records and helped achieve more than $910,644 in direct benefits for clients.
