Technical level qualifications vary in size; Some may meet the entry requirements for higher education in a related field, and some may need to be offered in conjunction with other Level 3 qualifications, such as Level A. In addition, some higher education programmes may require certain levels of achievement in certain units or require additional qualifications to meet expertise requirements. For fifty years, we have been offered a unique path to a legal career and become a qualified lawyer without a law degree, although law graduates and non-lawyer graduates can also qualify as lawyers through the CILEX route. Access is possible for people with different levels of qualification. Accredited legal executives (formerly known as Fellows of CILEx) qualify upon completion of their CILEX training, followed by at least 3 years of qualifying employment.
